Optimality Conditions of a Three-Dimension Non-smooth Thermodynamic System of Sea Ice

چکیده
This study is intended to provide the mathematical foundation for the numerical computation of the parameter identification problems of the three-dimensional two-layer thermodynamic system of sea ice. The non-smooth thermodynamic system with mixed boundary conditions is established, its properties are obtained and the first-order necessary conditions of the parameter identification problem of the nonsmooth system are derived.

Mangasarian-Fromovitz and Zangwill Conditions For Non-Smooth Infinite Optimization problems in Banach Spaces
In this paper we study optimization problems with infinite many inequality constraints on a Banach space where the objective function and the binding constraints are Lipschitz near the optimal solution. Necessary optimality conditions and constraint qualifications in terms of Michel-Penot subdifferential are given.
متن کاملKu-, X- and C-Band Microwave Backscatter Indices from Saline Snow Covers on Arctic First-Year Sea Ice
In this study, we inter-compared observed Ku-, Xand C-band microwave backscatter from saline 14 cm, 8 cm, and 4 cm snow covers on smooth first-year sea ice. A Ku-, Xand C-band surface-borne polarimetric microwave scatterometer system was used to measure fully-polarimetric backscatter from the three snow covers, near-coincident with corresponding in situ snow thermophysical measurements. The stu...
متن کاملSimulation and Domain Identification of Sea Ice Thermodynamic System
Based on the measured data and characteristics of sea ice temperature distribution in space and time, this study is intended to consider a parabolic partial differential equation of the thermodynamic field of sea ice coupled by snow, ice, and sea water layers with a time-dependent domain and its parameter identification problem. An optimal model with state constraints is presented with the thic...
متن کاملMultisensor data and thermodynamic sea-ice model based sea-ice thickness chart with application to the Kara Sea, Arctic Russia
We introduce a method to construct an ice thickness chart using two satellite datasets and a one-dimensional high-resolution thermodynamic snow and sea-ice model (HIGHTSI). Thin-ice thickness up to 40 cm is retrieved using MODIS ice surface temperature data. For thicker ice, thickness is retrieved from a combination of SAR image and background level ice thickness chart Hi provided by HIGHTSI. B...
متن کاملNonlinear threshold behavior during the loss of Arctic sea ice.
In light of the rapid recent retreat of Arctic sea ice, a number of studies have discussed the possibility of a critical threshold (or "tipping point") beyond which the ice-albedo feedback causes the ice cover to melt away in an irreversible process. The focus has typically been centered on the annual minimum (September) ice cover, which is often seen as particularly susceptible to destabilizat...
